I have a hard drive that's reporting zero free space left, when I know it isn't full. I've been looking around and haven't found anything that would cause the problem.

It starts by a virtual memory error on startup, no virus found yet and defrag doesn't seem to be clearing things up. I haven't run a scandisk yet, but I will now.

Anybody heard of this? is there an issue I don't know about? I'm running Win2k Pro on a Dell Dimension L1000R

How big is your swap file? Try reducing the amount of drive space taken for virtual memory. From what I remember, I think it is recomended that virtual memory is set at 2.5 times the ammount of system RAM. If you have 128mb system ram set VM to 320mb Min & Max. That should reduce your swap file & may solve your problem.

I already checked that out. It's set to maybe 300-something MB on a 6 gb hard drive.

I can't find anything on the hard drive that would take up that much space and a virus scan also came up clean. I ran a defrag, checkdisk, and disk cleanup with no change.
