Hard Drive size vs. Upload and Download speed?

just 2 silly question....

Would a hard drive size have a bearing on upload and download speed?

Also, any methods to tweek connection speed?

If you are talking like a 40gig 7,200rpm drive compared to a 160gig 7,200rpm drive then I know there is a small performance hit, that can, with thoughful partitioning and swop file placement, be reduced to almost nill but with the benefit of that large storage area.
The way that I've seen most people go these last few months with performance desktops is firstly SATA, either with a single 10,000rpm Westerndigital Raptor or a pair raided but with the adition of a larger IDE drive for mass storage.

I would think the buffer would have something to do with it. far as i can tell 8mb is the new top of the line and with a good rpm you should be gettin some sweet data speed.
