When I switch on the computer the post doesn't recognise the hard drive (10 Gb) but if I press reset the post goes through and recognises the HDD with no problems and boots normally. Any Ideas?? It's got me beat!

It could be that the drive is not spinning up fast enough for the BIOS to read it. I'd suggest entering BIOS Setup and change the Quick Power On Self Test to [blue]Disabled[/blue]. It will read the memory which in turn allows more time for the hard drive to get up to speed. The overall boot process will be a tad longer but shorter than what you are doing now.

And go to the hard drive manufacturers' web site and download their diagnostic and run it, see if the drive is having problems.
