I have several machines around the office. We had an employee leave. His machines is a better one than that of another employee. I removed each hard drive and switched them. I get the blue screen of death. but when i switch them back , they both operate fine. is there anyway to just switch a harddrive and then have it start to load all of the drivers and whatnot for that motherboard?????

Thanks to tek-tips, they have (all of you) help me plenty of times.

Its a hit and miss affair moving hard drive from one machine to another because of all the underlying drivers windows has to reinstall (IMO, from experience and reading many posts with problems! - others think its always ok). It sometimes just can't manage it. Best option is to boot in safe mode on original machine & then remove everything you can in device manager. This thread thread602-468374 may be helpful.
