Hi

When I install Vista on my 500go western digital hard drive, and come to where I want to install it, the hard drive 0 shows 3 partitions, one of 465go, and 2 of 0mb..

So when I boot the computer after installation, it says disk problem occor, alt-ctldel to reboot..

I can't get rip of the 2 0mb partition....

what are those??

Any solutions??

what's the drive been used for previously?

have you had other operating system(s) running ok on this drive? And on this machine?

might be worth 'initialising' the disk by writing binary zeroes to it - western digital's hard drive utility (available from their site) will do this (as will a number of free third party apps, eg killdisk).

If still a problem, same WD utility can check status of drive. And you might want to check other hardware items if the drive is ok.
