Good morning everyone,

This is a long story so please bare with me, I will make it as short as possible. A friend of mine was having problems with there system (Windows Me, I know whats strange about that) It completely stopped booting into the OS, I couldnt even get into safe mode. So I said ahhh I will just wipe it and install a fresh OS. Well for some reason there system wont boot off the A drive (BIOS settings wont let me change it, dont have the password) So instead of screwing around I said just let me take it home and i will do it on my machine. I installed it on my machine as the slave drive and It detected it and i was even able to back up some of there files. Then I booted off a floppy on my machine and formatted the hard drive. I then made it the master and began installing windows XP PRO. Half way through the install it failed. I booted back into DOS and there were some Windows files left on the drive so i erased them, now I cant get the drive to detect at all. I am so lost I have search on the MFG site and cant find any tool to help recover the drive.

The model of the drive is a Fujitsu MPF3204AH 20 GB

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much

Brad

zacksack;
If you can get back to the original machine......if you even want to at this point......you could pull the C-MOS battery for BIOS for say 20-30 min's (to be safe, although 2 seconds can be enough).....and the BIOS password will clear.....
