Iam new at this! So this muight be dumb!
But there are only 3 sets of jumper points on my hard drive and the jumpers arent on one side such as master slave or CS, its actually diagnally on master and slave.
What is this?
I am trying to connect this harddrive to another computer as slave and when I change the jumper to slave, i get no results! Please help.
Oh and if anyone knows- is there a site anyone knows of that will tell me the technical names of each part inside my pc?

If you are installing the drive as a slave, then you must also double-check the jumper settings on the drive which should be the master drive. If one of the drives is set for 'CS' (cable select), then both drives must be set to 'CS', and you must be using a 'CS' type cable. I generally recommend that you force one drive to be the master, and one to be the slave, and do not use the 'CS' setting.

My memory is not as good as it should be, and neither is my memory.

I have forgotten more than I can remember

Not all drives use the same jumper configurations for the differant settings.
Follow the on label scimatic for correct orientation for your particular make of drive.

Also, make sure that the "Master" jumper is set correctly on the master drive. Sometimes the selections are "master (alone)", and "master (with slave). You can go to the mfg. of the drive and look up all the possible jumper settings.
