I have a Samsung SV6003H model Hard drive, which is a 60 gig hard drive.
It was in my old computer, and to put it in to other computer i took it out. Then put it in to the other computer.
Then I went to CMOS , It's detecting the drive.
But when Windows XP was on. There were no additional hard drive on 'my computer'.
Since I'm pretty friendly with handling hardwares and stuff, I went to control panel and went to
Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management.
To format and form partition. but there were no drive detected.
Then I went on 'My computer -> Properties -> Hardware ->
Device Manager -> Disk Drives' ....and there were a detected drive of 'SV6003H' on the list.
How confusing... I got it detected on CMOS and Device Manager list, but I can't format or partition it ..
For the last, I set it as an master drive, and put in my professional Xp installation disk, (which you put it in at the booting, and it installs XP all by itself on the new drive..), but it would detect the Drive C: and size of it,
but it says gave me some description of that this drive not usable drive to install the OS.
Does that mean it has bad sectors ? or what?
Since I've never had bad sector hard drive before..
yea.. it's little hard situaltion for me.
Please help.
