Hey guys... I have a windows xp systen running on a SATA/HD, and i would like to addd an IDE/HD to my system in order to recover information from the drive. How would i go about this as they are to totally different types of Hard drive?

Just buy the other hard drive connect it to ide cable and just be sure to set your jumpers up correctly. Example if ide cable has both cdrom and hard drive, set hard drive as master and cdrom as slave. Also make sure ide is enabled in bios. Other than that theres nothing else you need to do. As for information on the other drive ive never ran sata but i figure you should be able to access both from windows when loaded. Then just copy what you want over to the other one.
