Hard Drive Formatting Efficiency

Does anyone know how to find the formatting efficiency of a hard drive? I need an example for a class. Thank you.

I've never heard of the term. But, that doesn't mean much.

Time to hit some hdd manufacturer sites and do some digging.

Oherwise called slack. Has to do with the average unused space on clusters.
It will depend on the type of files, the filesystem type, and the hard drive size.
