Hi all... I would consider my self decent tech lvl...

I'm running VISTA ultimate edition..I'm not sure if wat kind of hard drive i'm running is relevant for my problem...

I have two hard drives one is a 120GB and the other is a 20GB

Now I have recently been running VISTA RC2 on the 120GB and have alot of programs on that drive I would like to keep.. as well as a website and databases ect....Being that that operating system was very buggy...I was gona go back to xp but then I cowboyed up and just got the RTM vista...I installed the new vista on my 20GB cuz I have no cds and no other way to archive my files.....And now I just need to get rid of the old operating system files i guess or somthing... ??? So i can keep those files in use with full access and without wasting space with unused windows files.

Without erasing the files! or moving them from the harddisk

any ideas are greatly appreciated.

AG3NT42,

If you have Vista Ultimate installed on a 20GB drive you will be soon running out of space, as Vista's published specs are:

40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space

At any rate, you can simply delete the "WINDOWS" (or whatever it's called) folder on the data drive if you no longer intend to boot from the drive. Make sure you redirect Vista Ultimate's Documents folder to the big drive (right-click drive, properties, Location, change target).
