I have an older 200mhz computer. My friend gave me this computer to fix. The problem is that the problem he can't fix neither can I. I have removed all old partitions and repartitioned it using fdisk. I formated it using the "Low level format" program in bios. I boot it up using a millenium boot disk and I try to install win95 from a cd. When I go to setup/install it, it gives me the message of 3 choices. Either it hasn't been partitioned (Fat32), im using 3rd party partitioning software or there's a virus. Even though I believe I have done everything right...How come it is giving me this message and can someone tell me how I can install Windows 95?
Thank you very much
Scott

The issue may be the version of Windows 95 you are using. Windows 95 did not have support for FAT32 until version Win95b. Version A did not support FAT32. Try killing all partitions again. fdisk (do not use large drive support) and create a 2gig partition and format fat16. You may have to get an older boot disk for this. Let me know is that works. I could be way off base on this one. James Collins

I think you're right, butchrecon - this is exactly what I would have suggested.

You need to partition and format the disk using the same or earlier versions of fdisk.exe and format.com to the operating system you are going to install. In this case, that means getting a boot disk for the version of Win95 you are installing.

Alternatively, get a DOS boot disk from
