I have a windows 2000 server (no DC) with 2 hard drive, one has windows 2000 server, and another hard dirve that has the data, the way it was setup, both of the hard drive were dynamic. NO mirroring. Now the bootable hard drive is not working, can't access it ,
(i could see the defected HD in the bios, but after that i get an I/O error and it doesn't boot up, i inserted Windows 2000 , and same error I/O and a code ( 000eee000 or soemthing like that ) windows said ,that it can't access this drive.) .
I took the other hard drive that has the data on it, mount it on another computer, and it shows that is unpartioned, and i can't see the data on it, ??

how to recover the second hard drive ? do i have to mount it on a dynmaic master hard drive ?

Any help , i'm despert
Thanks,

i tried these. Next question , can i revoer a dynamic drive, ?

dunno;
There's GetDataBack from problem is you don't know what is the cause.....the exact "stop error" would help maybe. Plus - Partition Magic or similar (Ontrack) may help. Depending on whether or not editing the Boot.ini file will help or not, or is it a corrupt partition table......maybe Fixboot or Fixmbr from the recovery console.....the thing is I have no clue how it will effect and/or make worse a Dynamic Disk.

and then there's always Chkdsk

Way cool!!!
Many forum members have referred it and that's how I know about it too, and I must say, all who use it (almost all i guess) have great results...
