Hey,
I've posted another post before, but no answers. Can a hard drive fail (create bad sectors, physcal damage, etc) from having a bad RAM module? If so, how do you check it?

Thank you for any ideas.

Go to the hard drive manufacturer's web site and download their testing utility to check the drive for errors. A thorough check will probably take hours, depending on the size of the drive. I've never heard of bad RAM destroying a drive.

I just reposted another part to my other thread. I'm trying a memory test know and so far no errors. The fan on the other hand seems to be jerking. Looks like is moves a little, then stops. Could heat be the problem that is making my HDD's blow up? Thank you for the quick response.
