I have windows 2000 professional. I just installed it, and its having some very weird errors. It shows the C drive as having 0k of space, and so far, i have not gotten anything that can access it. Windows IS installed on it, and everything works except for that. When i try to double click on C: in my computer, it says access denied.

It is a Pentium 3 500mhz with a voodoo 5.
it has 224mb ram.

Hi,

Did you have an old install of an NTFS using OS (eg NT4, Win2K, XP) and put the new 2K install over the existing system? - and you are trying to access folders which you could previously.

If so, I think this is NTFS security sids issue - logon as administrator, right click the top of the folder, choose properties, security tab, take ownership and take ownership of everything underneath.

John
