hard drive deletion for storage purposes

Hi, need some help anyone please. i bought a new 120G hard drive for an upgrade from a 20G Hard drive. The installation went really good software supplied formatted,copyied files and set up new hard drive as primary - Question--I have exact copies of all files on both drives, I want to use the old drive for storage only, I been deleting files ,but still a lot of info on it about 50% full, How do I get all data oof of old drive and use for storage only?

formatting the drive will bring it back to minimal usage.
