I have a Partner Mail VS R4 that won't boot up after a power failure. It seems to have the classic symptoms of a toasted hard drive. I have a replacement hard drive for a PMVS R5 which I purchased as a backup. Now comes the big question--are they compatible??

Make sure you *talk* to them in person before you send them money. They have been known to "lose" prepaid online orders. And they may send you a different version R4 drive (R4.0.1 or R4.1 when you ordered 4.0, etc), but they all seem to work in any R4 module. And expect it to show up in a not-so padded USPS envelope; no such thing as a box or bubblewrap for these folks, but their price is right if you can get past all that!

I've used them a few times and they came in a box with padding? Hmmm
392 does have a good point to make sure they send you the right one, I did get a 3.0 once when I ordered a 4.1

A trusted source for years.
