I have one disk drive 37.26GB with 3 partitions (NTSF)
Sharepoint files are all on C and I am concerned that the free space on C will not be enough space for all shared files. Is there a way to easily migrate sharepoint to the bigger partition. My system is w2k server with sharepoint team services.

C - system Local disk
Capacity = 9.77GB
Free space = 1.76GB

D
Capacity = 7.81GB
Free space = 7.75GB

I
Capacity = 19.68GB
Free space = 19.33GB

Hello,

All Sharepoint content (documents etc) are all stored in SharePoints SQL (or MSDE) databases. So where ever your databases are located that is where you should look into having more diskspace.

There are ways of moving sharepoint databases to new locations, it can be a bit tricky but it is doable.

Cheers,
Thomas

The sharepoint sql is in the same hard drive. Why is it when I go into the folder in the c drive I see all the files that we are sharing.

Hi,

I might have been to fast when I replied to your post. As it seems you are running SharePoint Team Services and not Windows SharePoint Services. My reply applies to the Windows SharePoint Services V2 and not the old STS.

Sorry about that!

Cheers,
Thomas
