How can I determine how big a HD or RAID Group is based on the number of blocks? I thought blocks were something that was defined at the file system level when you format the drive. To the contrary I have a tool that gives me the remaining unused space (unformated) on a hard drive or RAID Group in blocks. How can I figure out how big this "physical" block is?

chkdsk in read only mode, or do an analyze the disk using the disk defragmenter applet. Either way will replort both the sector size and allocation unit (or cluster) size.
