Hi, I have just upgraded my computer and am using a hard drive that was partitioned with a dos partition..(a 10gb HDD that could only be partitioned as two 4GB partitions)
My problem is...with my new MB..AMD Duron 750 Via bios..I can make a setting that permits me to read both partitions but when I switch off and go out, then return the second partition has gone , but comes back as soon as I reset bios to Previous settings...Can anyone assist me please...Reply to Peter at invitro@ihug.co.nz

The DOS partition at 4gb should be suspect. What DOS? Dos with 95B or higher will be OK at 4.
Sounds like the BIOS is not saving the data. When you save it, it should be the same when you come back in. That can be battery problem. Ed Fair
