Hard disk mirror programs: Which is the best? 1

I want to exactly duplicate my server's hard drive with a program that is 100% legal.

Is there such a critter?

If so, which is the best?

When you're talking server imaging software, you are talking $$$. Many here love Acronis True Image, but the server version of it is $700+. I am a simpler person and have found that Ghost 2003 works fine for imaging my SBS2003 server's arrays. I have cloned & recovered both single drives and rebuilt RAID arrays with Ghost images, only 1 clone failure in three + years of use.

It is 100% legal, costs around $30. NOTE: newer versions of Ghost do not work with Windows Server 2003.

There is much debate as in Ford vs. Chevy (Acronis vs. Ghost). I own them all including PowerQuest's DiskImage and I prefer Ghost 2003 best.

You can count me as one of the Acronis fans, I love the stuff but it is pricey. It just depends on what bells and whistles you want.

I think wahnula is suggesting ghost 2003 will do that.
