Hard disk Failure - urgent - "Trying to recover allocation unit"

I have a fujitsu siemens lifebook c-series and i got the above error i had to delete the partitions cos they were NTFS and created 2 fat32 partitions. The problem is that the above error comes up and i cant find the file to get the low level format disk off the fujitsu site if anyone could help id greatly appreciate it cos i not even exactly sure what to look for!

The message "Trying to recover allocation unit" has nearly always come up for me when the hard drive was failing. Have a WD 6.4GB at hand with the message and won't format.
