I need to replace a failed hard drive on a MXE II
I received the replacement drive (part number: 50006513) is a 160GB SATA hard drive for MXE III
My question is: does this HDD compatible with MXE II?

Nope. The MXe II uses a PATA/IDE drive, not SATA. You got the wrong drive. The correct part number you need is 50005443.
