Happy Snowy Friday,

Quick question :

On 9751 many secretaries are used to an INTERCOM button with a number for each person in the group.
Therefore when a call comes in , the secretary would put call on HOLD , intercom her boss to see if they want to talk to the caller, then get back to the call.

How can I program an INTERCOM BUTTON or have an INTERCOM option on a phone?

Thanks and be safe out there.

Eric

On 9006 you are setting up a COM group - you get to choose single digit for up to 10 users or 2 digit for up to 99.

In DPLN if you do not already have a code in the system for (I think) INTCM or INTERCOM (do a question mark when asked for the DAR in DIS-DPLN and it will give you all the DAR you you can find it) - if not you will have to add one, but if they are already using it it should be there - just look at the key name used in the button table.

If you are saying you now have a 4000, that is the same process but the AMOs are a little different. I'm at home so I don't have the cheat sheet....

Good morning Donb01,

Yes, we have a 4000.
If you can send me a cheat sheet that would be great!

Thanks again for your help.

Have a BLESSED day today!

On a 4000 you can program a Voice Call button
or just dial the Voice Call code and then the extension.
The destination extension has to have VCR turned off (Voice Call Reject) either by the phone menu or by the console.
DEL-ACTDA:STN,XXXX,VCR;

There are other methods such as BUZZ as well available if required.

Also in the 4000 COMGR is still COMGR and surprisingly enough the DAR for they key is COMGR - you might have to add that to your WABE - mine doesn't have it defined.

Here is the cheat sheet I was given when I first started with the 4K. I added a few things I know were missing, but it is pretty helpful - to me anyway.

I tried to upload it to Tonido, but it appears it is empty right now so I'll leave it here.
