Hangs on email setup after upgrade to act6

I recently replaced my ACT2000 with ACT6. I uninstalled ACT2000 and deleted the folder before installing ACT6. The install went fine.

Here's my problem. When I go to set up my email, the wizard hangs on the page where you select which email system you want to set up. It hangs regardless of the system that I choose - internet email or Outlook.

I am sure that this is an artifact of my previous act installation because I can do this same setup on the same machine in a different account that never had act installed.

In the account that email set up hangs, I noticed that the wizard is picking up some older settings and has the email directory pointing to a location that no longer exists.

What I would like to do is to clear out all the old settings so that the email wizard thinks this is a first time setup. Does anyone have an idea where these settings are kept? It does not appear to be in the registry.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated?

Forgot to mention - running XP & Outlook 2000. If there is any way to configure email manually, that might get around the wizard hanging...

Thx

Fixed it. Just for reference, I had to manually uninstall the older version of Act as per the link below. This involves deleting various registry settings. So basically I uninstalled act6 then cleaned out the files and all the registry settings and reinstalled act6. Worked fine after that.
