I have a DOS boxes running an old program named close-up for remote access at office loactions. At one of these locations, the Hayes compatible modem will answer but will not complete the handshake. I have checked all of the settings in the software against the Hayes connection strings and have attempted to move the modem to other ISA slots. This produced good results the first time through, but it has not connected since. So, is this a hardware or software problem? Your comments are very much appriciated.
