Can anyone tell me how to adjust the handset volume on the 7406+ model phone? The regular 7406 has the slider near the handset plug, but its gone on the 7406+. Someone's dad must know how to adjust these old things.

Thanks

slider is for ringer volume
volume adjustment is for speakerphone

Maybe you can get someone's Dad to read this to you.

Wow,
Digging about 20 years back in my memory: there is an option to be set globally, per set type:

"DCP Terminal-parameters Plan:
Appears only when the Multinational Locations feature is enabled in the license file. The value
in this field corresponds to the DCP terminal transmission parameters administered for location
on the Terminal Parameters n screens."
One of the parameters if I recall correctly is the volume option.
So you could be lucky...

I may need to clarify the issue a little, I am looking to see if I can adjust the outgoing volume. Callers are reporting they can't hear one of the customer service agents very well. The phone has been replaced, punched down to a new port, and im still having issues.

Thank you both for the info and documentation. I did have those guides and read through it before hand, but never found what I needed. I have review the terminal-parameters, but that seems like a global change. I am worried about making changes at that level since its only one user reporting the issue.

try hooking up the phone hanging directly off the digital port and then make the call, if it is ok then you seem to have a wiring issue at the station node end, just a thought.
