Handset not hanging up at the end of a call

Howdy,

We have a UCP 100 with SIP trunks and 9040 phones. If a call is answered hands free, then the other party hangs up, the phone doesn't automatically hang up as well. There is a display saying call ended, normal clearing, but it then beeps for the duration of the error tone (I have now dropped this to 5s). Any ideas what I'm missing here?

I had the same issue and had to make sure the IP phones and system were at the very latest version.

Ok, Press Trans *#..... TRANS/PGM..... the transfer key?.......sigh!
