Hi there, I have a database in which there are many multi-value feilds. So I have each set up with a table for the values and then a Join table to link it to the main table. I then create subforms to put in the main form. This all works good and well, I am just wondering if any of you form experts have a better more elegant way to handle this. I don't like that the user has to click ctrl+tab to exit these subforms. Just looking for ideas or examples if you have. dawnd3@yahoo.com

Thanks a bunch

ok if I am following you correctly, what you are trying to do is cut down on the amount of forms you display. and make it easier for the user to navigate around you main form with subform placment.

Ok I have used the below method before for onscreen reporting so as the user did not have to have to many popup forms or an overcrowd of subforms. the user was pretty pleased with the outcome.

App: on the form have several toggle switches
& several subforms set to invisible.

Method: Overlay all the subforms ontop of one another and
then on click of a toggle show the subform linked
to the toggle and keep all the other invisible.

Or

App: Combo box
& several subforms set to invisible.

Method: On selection of the subform name from the combo box
show the subform and keep all the rest invisible.

Hope this is the type of idea you are after.

Zero.
