handling events

Hi everyone! This is my first thread on this forum. I am not familiar with C and I need help with event handling.I have to write program that can catch an event like "mouse left click" or "keypad pressed". Does anyone have any example, link that might be helpfull, or any advice?

Yes, I tried!What do you mean how I found this forum? I am not a C porgrammer, but Java so maybe I did not look at the right places.
