Handling ASCII extended characters for HTML

Hi, there.

I am currently working on a multi-lingual site which uses non standard ASCII characters, like [tt]ü ã ç é[/tt] et cetera.

Perhaps some of you knows about a conversion tool that generates the [tt]é[/tt] for HTML standard compilant.

Have a look at htmlentities():

http://www.php.net/htmlentities

This function is identical to htmlspecialchars() in all ways, except with htmlentities(), all characters which have HTML character entity equivalents are translated into these entities.
