Hi Friends,
I have been charged today with creating some 2000 renderings of some of our products in various colors and logos. This is for our biggest and best client, and succeeding in this endeavor will make my career here. We make pens, and I'm in the process of seperating out the components so that I can color-match them individually.
My question is this - is there a way to carry the colors from layer to layer so I don't have to adjust each componnent individually? Also, is there a way to at least partially automate the process?
I need any and all tips on how to rapidly carry color-matching from layer to layer and perhaps from file to file. I know I can use the eyedropper tool - in most cases, I desaturate the pen, set a fill to the selection, match it as best I can against the swatch, and place the original component over the color fill with an opacity filter to preserve the detail.
Is there a better way?
Any help or tips would be so very welcome - as it is, I think I'll be working nights for the next month, and I'd prefer to avoid that if possible.
Regards,
Nedstar1
