Handle Zip file with Visual C++ 1

I am working on a big Project. I need use Visual C++ to extract some files from a *.zip file, the *.zip file is generated by WinZip. This is the last step. I really need your help.

Dear zduan,

You will need help from a library or ActiveX control to get this job done. I believe the makers of WinZip sell such a library, however there are others perhaps even free source code.

This is a side note: but Java has built in zip management.

Is the restriction for C++ that strong?
