(Sorry if this is the second post.)

Hello there! I am interested in purchasing a handheld, but am COMPLETELY out of the loop on what's good, what's not, what's new, what's old. I would basically be using it as an electronic calendar, reminder, address book and notes/memos. I am somewhat familiar with the Palm Pilot, but as I have been researching, I see that other people make them such as Sony, Casio etc. Any thoughts on coolest ones for the best price? I'm also interested in purchasing a used one - know of a good place to get good deals? jennifer.giemza@uwmf.wisc.edu

I personally did a lot of research and I bought a Sony Clie T615c. It has color display (almost always recommended over monochrome), 16mb of memory (less than 8mb will not last very long), has memory stick capability (external expansion memory for full data backups and program portability) and audio functions (but not headphone capable - the T665 has that).

It all depends on what you want to pay. Sony rotates products in and out of their line very quickly, so right now the T615c should be less than $250 (more like $200). The T665 is like $50 more

If you really only need an electronic rolodex/alarm device there are many available like Casio Casseiopia (4mb memory). Palm's newest is the Zire which is aimed at new users with only 2mb of memory for $99, and it actually looks good too. Handspring is going out away from PDAs so their stuff should be fairly cheap and is very good.

For good pricing you just need to do web searches on google or yahoo, look at Ebay, Newegg.com, use the comparison pricing engines. Email me! denodave@yahoo.com

Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out! I really appreciate it! The cheaper the better for me since I'm just being lazy with my memory and want something to remember for me! :)
