Had to reload FP, Now PWS Won't work,

Because of a virus, I had to wipe my drive and start over.
While re-building FP2000, I had a problem, in that the Personal Web Server is not working. I tried complete removing FP and PWS, and re-inserting them, with no success. Now I somehow have PWS in the machine, but it's not working, and when I go to the control panel to remove it, it's not listed.
It now appears that I have the PWS that was furnished by FP98. I have a small sign on the bottom that says Web Server Idle, but no icon, such as I am used to.
My databases will not work while the site is on my machine.
What to do???
