Hi Everyone,

I will configure a new cluster, and I want to configure etherchannel for my network configuration, I won't use IPAT ( IP Address Takeover ), when I use etherchannel, Should I use "non-service/interface IP address" or sometimes known like the IP boot.

Using etherchannel, Can I use only IP persistent and Service IP.

Thanks

I never used etherchannel in my clusters but i'm sure it can be done (as service IP or persistence)

By using the etherchannel definition: Trunking technology which allows for the aggregation and resilience of network adapters.

Having said that, Potentially, HACMP may only see a one adapter per network. So you can use the etherchannel adapter as if it is a single adapter to the HACMP

Remember to use the netmon.cf for the HACMP to accurately determine adapter failure!

Regards,
Khalid
