Hi all!

A simple question: In which cases can the error: "HACMP timestamp file for shared volume group xy is inconsistent with the tme stamp in the VGDA for the following nodes: abc"
appear?

It occured on my cluster after editing the netmon.cf file and then verification and synchronisation, but I can not see any relations between that.

hi mad,

just corious, why did you change the netmon.cf? are you using etherchannel?

well, i beleive that this message usually occurs when you change one of the LVs or FSs of the resource group of the cluster manually (without using CSPOC). Or in general if you change the configuration in one node only.

To avoid haiing this message always use CSPOC!

To fix the timestamp problem just go to smitty hacmp --> standard config --> synchronize

Hi Khalid,

I changed netmon.cf to ensure the takeover in case of loosing complete network connection of one node. Without an entry in netmon.cf there is no action triggered.

And I did not change any Logical Volumes or Filesytems. And I wouldn't do it without cspoc.

I fixed it with a synchro, no problem, but I still wonder how this happened...

Anyway, thx for your reply.
