hello

I have a cluster on prod and need to modify the disk heatbeat replaced by a new disk on the Configure HACMP Communication Interfaces/Devices.
I could add the new one and then remove the old one (pointing on the old disk) via hacmp Topology.
The question is can I do it online (sure it will work) but how then I synchronise properly the cluster while online...
I didn't find anything on CSPOC to modfiy it.
Cheers
Al

you can add extra (new disks) diskhb communication lines and then remove old ones.

all can be done online.

of course first you need to prepare diskhb VG (enhanced_concurrnet) and import it to second cluster node.

when the VG is present on both nodes, go to:

smitty cm_extended_config_menu_dmn

and run "Discover HACMP-related Information from Configured Nodes"

Now new diskhb devices are discovered and you need to add them, so go to:

smitty cm_config_hacmp_communication_interfaces_devices_menu_dmn
->Add Communication Interfaces/Devices
->Add Discovered Communication Interface and Devices
->Communication Devices
and select new diskhb pairs.
You can now also remove old diskhb comminication linces.

Once you add/configure it on active node run Actual synchronization:

smitty cm_ver_and_sync.select

best regards,
r.
