Hi

Does anybody know what the returncodes of a pre-event script can be.

I want to write a pre-event that in case of a certain deduction can give a return code that prevents the real hacmp event from running.

I just want to do an extra check in an pre-event script before having a standby node take over the resource. So I want my pre-event script to be able to stop the node from taking over and starting the resource. But how do I abort the real event?

Hi

I have tried to implement an pre-event and that works.
Problem is I do not seem to find the correct event where to add the preevent.
My goal is to prevent a node (in some situations) to start the resource group when the other node fails. Specially to prevent the varyon of the volume groups.

I tried to add the pre-event to the "node-down" event. It returns an exit code other than 0, but it doesn't seem to prevent the varyon of the volume groups and still activates the resource group. After this activation it does give a fail, but this is to late for me.

Anyone an idea as where to add the pre-event to prevent the resource activation when the other node goes down?

best regards
Steven
