i have an SP with 4 nodes. On node 2 an application is running. Node 2 has 1 Ethernet-
adapter(Service) and node 1 has 2 Ethernetadapters (Service and standby). is it possible to configure HACMP on these nodes? Standby from node 1 shoud take the
service-address from node 2 and takes the external ssa-disks from node 2.

Thanks ...

schleife,

Well lets outline this question:

node 2 - 1 ethernet adapter - application running.

node 1 - 2 ethernet adapters - I asume performing other tasks.

okay, lets look at this HACMP requires a minimum of two adapters per node - one for the service and one for the standby address - i.e. if an adapter fails it switches to the standby adapter - you therefore require two adapters per node and the configuration of just one cascading resource group.
