When node 1 crashes it fails over to node 2 as it should.
When we restart HACMP on node 1, it automatically gets its resource groups and starts the application

We want to stop this.

How easy is it to stop this from happening ?

Is it a simple case of changing the fallback policy to Never Fallback, then you have to perform a manual resource move ?

thanks,

Madra

Yes madra!

changing the fallback policy to Never Fallback should work!

Just don't forget to synch after doing so!

Regards,
Khalid

in HACMP 5.3, 5.4 (and probably 5.2 as well) the old rotating configuration can be achieved selecting "Online Using Distribution Policy" for the "Startup Policy". It is described in redbook.

eg.

Startup Policy Online Using Distribution Policy
Fallover Policy Fallover To Next Priority Node In The List
Fallback Policy Never Fallback
