Hi all,
We are planning to migrate from DS4800 to a new HP EVA 8400.
We've got HACMP clusters in 2 p5 550, each with 2 VIOs. The LPARs have multipathing to the storage thru the 2 VIOs.
What we are planning is to:
- detach one VIO from the old storage
- connect this VIO to the new storage
- map the new LUNs to the LPARs thru this VIO
- migratepv (or mirror/unmirror) from the LPARs
- detach the other VIO from the old storage
- connect the second VIO to the new storage
- map the new LUNs to the LPARs thru both VIOs
We're not sure this is the best approach, and if there is something we're missing.
What would you recommend?
Thanks.
