Hello

Can anyone has ever create a cluster on a single node and later add added the second node later?
If yes could you guide me on the configuration or point me on the doucments?

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Al.

Hi Al,

There is no point in doing this! the concept of the cluster is to have 2 or more nodes covering each other!

I've never tried this but i don't think it is possible!

Hi

For the moment we have only one node available and we want to add the second node in few month when we will receive the second server.
So I need to configure this lpar as a single node hacmp and be able to add the second one later on the hacmp config.
I hear it has been done before by IBM but can't find any doco about it.
I will continue to search.

Cheers
Al.

Perhaps they created 2 LPARs on one system and HACMP'd these two LPARs into a cluster. Then later on moved one of the LPARs over to a new system?
