Hi,
Can anyone help with the following little problem on HACMP 5.3?
I have to configure a 2-node active/active cluster with 2 resource groups where one of the RGs has an “aversion” to being on the same node as the other, and I’m not sure how to go about it.
The first resource group, RG1, is a standard rotating resource group but the second, RG2, has to automatically move away from RG1 if there is another node available in the cluster, although it should co-exist with RG1 if there is only one node in the cluster.
As a scenario:
node1 contains RG1
node2 contains RG2
node1 fails and RG1 moves to node2 alongside RG2
node1 rejoins the cluster and RG2 has to automatically move away from RG1 onto it.
All RGs should be able to failover to the remaining node in the cluster and co-exist should a node fail, but RG2 will always automatically move to the empty node when that node rejoins the cluster.
I’ve not had to do this configuration before. Any ideas on the settings I need for RG2 anyone?
