HACMP 5.1 and VG/LV Locking

I once had an unpleasant HA experience with locks on a VG. Server A couldn't varyon a vg saying it was locked, but it wasn't varied on on Server B in the cluster. I had to vary it on on Server B, then vary it off before I could vary on on Server A. That's about it unless you have more detail.
