Customer called and said there were some unathorized calls to the Phillipines. TELCO indicated to her that the voicemail on the system had been hacked. Not sure how they determined that (lol)but is it possible? BCM 50 is not on the network - if it is possible how and what can I do to prevent?

Change the system password and disable the bcm dial in modem.
Also delete every mailbox except the ones the customer is using and have all the users change their personal mailbox passwords. Disable the outdial option in every mailbox except the people who use that feature.

Also toll restrict all voicemail DN ports and disable outbound transfer in call pilot class of service for the assigned mailboxes.
