I just thought you all might like to know that the Hacker's Guide to Visual FoxPro is now open source - thanks to the generosity of its publisher (Hentzenwerke) and its authors (Tamar E. Granor, Ted Roche, Doug Hennig and Della Martin).

HackFox is often regarded as the best VFP reference source - it's certainly more complete than the "official" documentation. I have a copy of the printed version on my desk virtually all the time.

So now the full text is freely available: here. You can read it on the screen, or download a local copy, or even convert to an e-book if you have a mind to. What I can't find is the Help file version. I have a copy of that on my own computer, but it is for VFP 6.0, and so is quite out of date. If you can download an open source version of the latest HackFox Help file, I've yet to find it. But the above web version is still extremely useful.

I hope the above will be of interest.

Mike

No, we didn't built a CHM for this. The idea is that people can not just read and use this version, but update and correct it.
