Hacker Monitor

I have one extension on a CS1K with Callpilot that the voice mail box keeps getting disabled. I think someone is trying to access the bod and locks it up. I have attempted to setup Hacker monitor within Callpilot but what if the caller is coming from the outside. It ask's for the extrnal CLID??is that the telphone number. I do not know this number that is what I want to find out. Do I have something confused.

If you have a CDR you should be able to find out who has been acessing your Voicemail if they are calling from the outside. It will take some work but you will have to look for a pattern to work it out, or you might get lucky and have an out of state number calling you, something out of the ordinary to look for anyway.

You can set up a simple CDR with any old computer that will run procomm. Set it up to capture your data. You usually have to start and stop the capture on a daily or weekly basis depending on your call volume/schedule. You set this PC up as a tty and the output of the pbx to it and it will be a txt file you can search within.

Catching the caller depends on how much time and effort you want to invest then. You could set the CDR up and let it run, then when you have the mail box locked out you will know to go check it then. You can also add PC anywhere and check it remotely.
