HA Linux -Heartbeat

No sure if anyone has played around with heartbeat but...

I was able to get heartbeat working over same subnet, but is there a solution to get it working with each node on a separate network?.

layout.. have vip as 192.168.1.1..
apache server 1 192.168.1.2
apache server 2 172.16..0.1
