HA 5.1 to 5.3 migration

Has anyone ever succesfully done this?

After upgrading I had to put the fix for APAR IY85489 on to get the upgraded node to start up. I still have to problem though, that the node powers off when I try to start it.

The IBM guide says to not change anything, just start it. In the log it says "Invalid SitePolicy [cascading]" which I can't find anything about googling.

I assume it's supposed to convert the Cascading policy to something else?

How about installing latest maintenance levels?

Updated OS to latest level, firmware and ha to latest levels. Time to call IBM I think.

The only time I've known a node to power off when HA starts is where there is a mismatch in topology versions.

The instance number should be the same on all machines in the cluster.
